and easy one-totally newbie advice: how to program?
I am willing to learn how to program at Macintosh. I have a large practice at several systems like PC, UNIX, and Amiga. I have programmed several games and multimedia applications. Now I am willing to put my hands on Macintosh, but since there is no text interface, and all is GUI, I cant figure how you guys can program on such an aggresive environment. I have used several iconic and graphical interfaces and I have rejected them all on the platforms I use. I prefer to code it on text. Where can I get info on Mac programming? I want to make games for it.

Apple now publishes their command-line environment, MPW, for free. It's not a UNIX shell and is somewhat limited in scripting capability, but it's free. You should pick up a copy of GameSprockets (also free) and make use of the Inside Macintosh volumes on-line.
