Quicktime movies on Mac

Hi, I have been using lynda.com or a while, but recently cannot open the training movies on my Mac. Any ideas guys why this might be happening?, I have installed skype recently on my Mac, not sure if this could be related. Many thanks for any help you can offer on this one. Liam
