The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Ksh-Script to sort files by date and time and compare them to existing input form a database sql statement

Question part A)I am currentrly trying to add a logic to my Ksh-script to sort files by date and time. I am using `ls -l *.* | awk '{print $6}, {print $7}'` to read  $6-Month, $7-day and $8-Time for the files and soring them!! I am sure that here is better way of sorting these files.
Question Part B) I also have another script to read time_values from Informix datat base.I am using an sql statement to read time_create value from Informix data base ( select time_create from table where my-conditions ) and I am piping this time_create values into a ASCI file with the following time format:
1999-08-12 23:00:06.00
I would like to add a logic to my script to search my working directory by date and time and find all files created after the date and time I got from my Informix database.
Ex. if using:ls -la *.*
I got:
 -rw-r--r-- 1 root other 51 Aug 17 16:16 File_name
and etc.
My database file time format:
1999-08-12 23:00:06.00
How to eleminate (from my working directory) all other files created after my time stamp into my database and only sort the once created after that time?????
After I finish sorting I have run a conversion routine on these files.
I am using HP-Unix B.10.20 and RediantUnix-N 5.44 also
Thank you very much
