Just as an example, there is more to it than this, but these variable are declared in one script.
Does export only make them available within the script?
I want them to be available to other scripts in the same directory, without manually setting them in the shell.

#Gives just the month, ie: 07 for July
export CurrentMonth=`date +%m`
#Gives just the day, ie: 03
export CurrentDay=`date +%d`

Create a script that contains the variable definitions you want and then source them from your other script like this:
initions
. /path/to/your/variable_def
