Error + Invalid value for registry + 0x80040153 while doing CoCreateInstance

CoCreateInstance of a COM exe fails with an exception Invalid value for registry, 0x80040153

Registy Entry looks normal to me.

I am using Windows Vista and Visual Studio 2008.

ComPtr<IAfwService> m_pService = NULL;
 
const CLSID m_clsid = __uuidof(AssetMonitoringServer )
 
HRESULT hr = m_pService.CoCreateInstance(m_clsid);
 
This fails and hr contains 0x80040153 : Invalid value for registry.

Following 1.rgs and 2.rgs file was added. Then the issue got resolved. Hope this post helps somebody else who runs in to same issue.
