how to draw a shadow?

and it works fine but then i notice it doesn't have that nice "shadow" effect compare to a standard mouse cursor.. so i wonder is it possible to turn on the shadow effect for my custom mouse cursor at all and how to do it?

You can draw a shadow in the cursor bitmap. To enable the mouse shadow in general go to the control panel, mouse, pointers tab (in Windows XP). There is a checkbox titled "Enable mouse shadow"
