Get text from Office Assistant Balloon

I'm trying to read the text that is displayed by Office Assistant in Outlook. For any normal dialog box, I could do something like this:

      MyDlg = (CWnd*)FindWindow( NULL, "Welcome" );
      if( MyDlg != NULL )
            MyDlg->GetDlgItemText( 43, strInfo );

("Welcome" is the title of the dialog box, and 43 is the control id, in this case an edit control. strInfo is a CString that holds whatever text was in the edit control).

Now, I can use FindWindow to get the handle to the Balloon, and I can pull ordinary controls (combo boxes, buttons), but the main area of text does now appear to have a control ID. I've tried 0 through 65535 and nothing works.

I looked at Microsoft's Assistant documentation, and it APPEARS that the text is actually displayed by an ActiveX applet(!). SPY can't see it either.

Anyone have any clues? Please include a line or two of code.
