The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Getting text from a 16bit window

I want to get the text written on a 16bit windows app.  I asked a similar question a while ago but for 32 bit apps.  I got a great answer and solution from Madshi that is working nicely.  But now I would like to also be able to grab the text from a 16bit app.  Madshi's solution doesn't work in 16bit, so some other method needs to be used.
