MSVC Minimum memory allocation for Win32 exe

Hi!. I need to build the smallest (talking about memory consumption) win32 service. I wrote a simple C program with less than 100 lines with just the necessary stuff to make it a service. Nothing more, not even a malloc, just a couple global variables to keep service state.

I make the project and generate a 36Kb executable. But once started, I see it 's consuming 1036 KB of virtual memory. I 've tried:

- specifying Stack allocation in MSVC6 at 1k
- specifying Stack and Head allocation once the exe was built with EDITBIN
- using /WS:AGGRESIVE
- removing all libs except kernel32.lib and advapi32.lib

But nothing helps. Memory consuption is stucked at 1Mb. I can 't believe that 's the minimun and that I can 't write a dummy service that uses less than that.

Any ideas?
