Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How to make a install program for a device driver

I need to know how to write a device driver install script for windows ME-XP mostly.
Its a virtual sound driver, so i need to know what and where to add the info that windows does add when running the "add new device" wisard.
I have a .dll file and a .INF file.

Do i need to do more then copying the .dll fiel to system32 and adding the midi wave et.c entrys in the registry and pointing out the dll ?

I pretty much need to know what every thing about intalling a sound device driver.
