The Solution Rating System

  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. PE Headers

Hi there,

My understanding of a PE header was to provide information about an executable application, such as it's size.  That would mean that when the exe is loaded into memory only the part specified by the PE header would be loaded.

On this understanding if data were written outside of the PE header's range it would not be loaded into memory when the executable is launched.  For example if I were to place data in this area to be used by the application it should be possible to be of an unspecified size?

Unfortunately I am finding that the EXE is becoming corrupt when reach roughly 370mb.  Has anyone got any information on why this would be happening and possible work arounds?  I know about updating resources etc already, but currently this is my only option.
