Memory Leak Detection

hi,

i am just wondering, what is the best way to test for memory leaks?

I have tried using boundschecker and purifyplus, but they only turn

up errors such as:

[W] UMR: Uninitialized memory read in sprintf {1 occurrence}
Reading 1 byte from 0x044bef4e (1 byte at 0x044bef4e

uninitialized)
Address 0x044bef4e is 14 bytes into a 128 byte block at
