The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Need help with some error codes I get

Asked by facithelpdesk in Windows Programming, FoxPro Database, Outlook Groupware Software

Tags: , , ,

We have an old Visual FoxPro program and Outlook 2003.  Everything was working fine up until recently when we had to change all our user names from a first initial and then the first seven letters of the last name, to something that we had to convert to.  It was after this change that things stopped working as they were.  Our programmer has made a table that takes the current user name and maps it to the new user name, but there must be something we're missing.  The error message that comes up is this:

Error Number: 1733
Message: Class definition MAPI.SESSION is not found
Program: SENDMAIL

Now, when we were testing this, on his machine it seems to be working fine.  The program works as it did before, the program send out the email notices and there are no errors.  It worked on my machine as well.  Then when we had one of the other users try it, they get the error message.  We think we've narrowed it down to the fact that we have FoxPro installed on our PCs where the user does not.  I'm thinking that it may just be one or two (or more) files that are needed to be installed on the users machine for this to work properly, but I'm not sure what those files may be.  We do have a few dll files that we needed to place on the systems in the Windows\system32 to get the program to work when it was first developed, but it appears that we now need some additional files or something installed to get it back to working order.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
