Database Design NULLs
I have inherited a database schema from previous set of developers. I notice that alot of values in tables are NULL.
This tells me the database has not been normalized. Am I correct?
Doesn't 3rd Normal Form prevent excessive null values in your schema?
I'm still trying to understand database design and if someone could explain this concept, it would be a great help.

I'm not sure why retrieving NULL's would be a problem. If the data is NULL it's NULL, I would WANT to retrieve NULL..
