I'm scoping out using Drools (JBoss Rules) to drive an internal call center web application for processing claims. The process goes like this: our Customer Service Rep will ask a series of questions ( answers could be yes/no, multiple choice, a date, or free form text ) that will lead them down a path to ultimately process or reject the claim. All examples I have seen that collect data based on input, call a business rule at the end to determine what to do. We're trying to determine if this will work well based on how tightly coupled this is to the presentation layer, as after each individual question is answered, a rule would need to fire to drive which question to ask next, or how to proceed.
I am trying to determine if a BRMS like Drools is the sort of technology I should be using. I am looking for examples/best practices of BRMS that are heavily view based that use Drools. Please provide guidance/advice.
