Was wondering if this had been done at any level, whether it worked. And if not, what people thought of the idea.
Due to a few of the companies I've worked for in the past having restrictions on internet, or ports accessible across the internet, was wondering if there was a remote control solution, via email.
E.G. A mail server running on a PC, scans the email message received, and performs certain actions contained within the email.
Could have only processes emails from certain address, or with a password contained within the email.
Even though I understand there would be certain security issues, thought it would be a good way of looking at computer and controlling a few of the basic commands when my access is limited to just email.
