Cisco Router Configuration with DSL

Hello:

I am trying to get a Cisco 2811 (with IOS 12.4) and a Verizon supplied DSL service to work together.  The design is such that the routers primary connection is Frame Relay, DSL is the 2nd backup and ISDN is the 3rd level backup WAN connection.  The DSL service provided is static and is ADSL.  Also, I do not want to use the provided DSL modem/bridge (Westtell 6110) provided by Verizon.  This is because I need the router to be able to sense that the conenction is down/down and control the connection.

Note that when we connect the router to the ethernet port on the modem, it tells us it's up/up but we cannot control the Cisco interface or ping the default gateway.  With a direct connection the router will know if any of the connections are down and will roll to the next.  Once a primary connection is back, the router will automatically fail back.  This works fine for the Frame and ISDN connections now.

I am looking for the commands and configuration data that is needed to setup this providers DSL connection on the router (i.e the correct ATM coomands)

Thank you very much in advance for your help & time.
