The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Problem with Nokia PC Suite and Nokia 6020

Asked by ludy in General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)

Hi! I'd like to ask what could I have been doing wrong since I can't seem to make the Nokia PC Suite work with my Nokia 6020 phone.

I have the infrared in my XP laptop and I have used it before so laptop's infrared is working. The same with my phone, Kodak was able to get my images through infrared when i brought it to them so again, phone's infrared is ok.

Now, I recently installed the Nokia PC Suite v6.6 (this is the first time I used it) in my laptop. It could "detect" my phone because I see the model listed after I tried connecting it -- BUT as I try to make Store Images/Browse files work, there seems to be a problem with the connection. I see the model listed but I cannot select it because it's disabled. Moreover, how come the suite was able to "detect" my phone, but it still doesn't say I'm connected?

I tried connecting again but same problem occurs. I searched the help pages and it said my model might not be compatible with the suite; however, I downloaded the suite step-by-step, making sure that it supports 6020. So I'm sure I have the right copy if the Nokia PC Suite.

Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?
