Hi,
As iriver2 mentioned, the official palm developer program is a good place to start.
to keep it simple though, I would suggest just buying one book. the best one to start with, i believe, is "Palm OS Programming: From the Ground Up" --->
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0072222891/ref%3Dpd%5Fsbs%5Fb%5F3/002-8878224-4117627
This book covers a lot of the essential basics with databases, fields, forms, and is focused on development with Codewarrior.
Hope this helps.
