how to setup an internal modem
May i know how to set up an internal modem in Linux?
My internal modem is
Magic MP32 voice, fax modem card.
Its specs are:
chipset : Rockwell RCV336ACF / SP
FFC class B
com 4 IRQ 3
ISA
plug and play only ( no jumper setting )
Is it a winmodem ? or a true modem? can be set in Linux?
And plaese kindly tell me the way to set it up step by step...
I've tried setserial but in vain.
Can we use isapnp ? and how?

If it doesn't have any jumpers, it's probably a winmodem. How many com ports does the system see when you boot up? There should be a port detected at irq3, address 2E8 if it has a real com port.
