How to assign an NT5 network password?
I have 2 computers networked together.
Computer A is running Windows 2000, Computer B is running Win 95.
Each machine recognizes the other.
Windows 2000 can get to the files on Computer B with no problem.
When I click on "Computer A" in The Network Neighborhood of the
Win 95 machine I get the following:
You must supply a password to make this connection
Resource: \\ComputerA\IPC$
What is IPC$, and how do I assign the password In Win 2000?
Thanks for any assistance

You need to supply a username and password to access this resource.
From a command prompt :
net use \\computera\ipc$ /user:domain\username password
(where domain is either the domain or the computername)
This happens as the user on the Win 95 machine is not authenticated by Win 2000, and you have to do it manually as above, unless you're in the same domain (ie you'll need mixed mode on the Win 2000 box)
