Japan-Eudora-email
I need to receive Japanese e-mail. I'm currently using Eudora light, which I love, for English. The Japanese comes as garbage. I have the Apple Japanese Language kit installed and can write Japanese in word processing, so can probably send it as an attachment or something, but I really need to receive e-mail in Japanese. Can Eudora Light do it? Do I need a new version? Will Eudora Pro read Japanese? Do I need a different e-mail program? What will work for both Japanese and English? Thanks.

Sorry it took me so long. I can't get the download of PowerMail to work. But I can get the Japanese version of Eudora, if I'm willing to sacrifice my English menus.
You couldnt get it to work? You unstuffed it right? Its compressed in stuffit format as with most things on the net.

At one point I got it to work on my computer, but it wouldn't connect with my server. I think I have the same settings on the Internet config. Maybe I'm missing something. Now I get An Open Transport Error ... but does that have to do with my already being connected with Eudora also open? I don't see why it should. Anyway, my knowledge in this area is limited and my time is, somewhat, too. I may give up on this, copy all my menus, download Japanese Eudora, and sacrifice my English menus.
I think yer missing some settings somewhere. OT errors are usually only when youre not connected to the net and try to check email. It might be an issue with eudora. Make sure youve got the right smtp and pop settings in powermail.
