If your getting that error I'd check 1st to see if the Hard Drive is being recognized. That sounds more like the problem. Get a dos or 95/98 boot disk to boot up the machine and see if you have a HD.

in addition in my comment, try repairing the ntldr then. if you see the menu of WinNT then repair either ntdetect or bootsec.dos<br />
<br />
with the correct boot sequence you should be able to figure out where the problem is.<br />
