Looking for program to alphabetize TXT files

I remember there was a program that would alphabetize all the lines in a TXT file. Any idea of the name and where I can get it?

Say for instance I had a TXT file that contained a list of songs in no particular order. This program would sort each line so it was in alphabetical order instead of the random order it was previously.

What if, say, I had a TXT file with 1000's of lines of information, and i wanted these lines alphabetized... (WORD/EXCELL isn't good enough...) hmm... i need it to run a PERL code im working on... maybe somebody with perl knowledge can just tell me how to make a quick EFFECIENT program to sort the stuff in a text file? (line by line)

Well, given time/interest, I look into follow ups, as long they stay more or less within the topic. I could only work something out with Excel, which is not "...isn't good enough...". I suggest you post a question in the PERL or similar topic area.
