&nbsp;You can use Membership basically to manage your accounts. If your sites is gonna use more then 3000 members and greater we normally use this to boost the performance as we know. In siteserver, using the management consile we can create our own directory , and assign it to a particular port. Then you can personalise this directory (here using LDAP)...and do much more things. What is Membership Directory

Active Server Pages (ASP) is Microsoft’s first server-side engine for dynamic web pages. ASP’s support of the Component Object Model (COM) enables it to access and use compiled libraries such as DLLs. It has been superseded by ASP.NET, but will be supported by Internet Information Services (IIS) through at least 2022.
