Active Directory System: User Accounts

Hi,

I am totally new to Microsoft networking system and I'm currently playing around with Win2003. I've created the Active Directory Domain and set the server as a domain controller, and created the domain computer and user accounts (let's say the user account name is "johndoe"). Now if I set the client which runs WinXP Pro to join the same domain, will I need to create a local user account named "johndoe" in order to logon to the domain or I can just logon with the name without having to create a local one.

Thanks.

*P.S. And another irrelevant question, if I run a Pentium4 Server in a closed room (in Thailand: average temp. = 27-33 celcius) without an air conditioner, how long can I run the server continuously without it knocking down the system?

Thanks a lot, accepted the comment, but just another follow-up if possible.

If I create a group policy object on the domain that provides the user an admin privilege; when that user logon to the domain and the domain policy has been loaded and override the local one, will that user have the same rights as local admin? Or is it necessary to add that user to the local admin group?

And yes, I have a 2.6C Northwood P4 with OEM vent :), thanks for your comment anyway.
1. Compliments for the great CPU - it works better than all those new Prescotts and doesn't have the annoying heat problem! You caught it right on time - its almost best Northwood. :)

2. No problem - in case you will give Admin priviledges to the domain user - it will work fine on the PC that is joined in domain.
