Visual Studio 2003 vs 2005 worth the upgrade?
Q. Does anyone know from first hand experience if Visual Studio 2003 vs 2005 is worth the upgrade?
It depends on the version. The VS2005 Team System for example is seriously impressive and will improve development time/costs. On a more personal level I find the new VS2005 features impressive, welcomed but nothing earth shattering. IMO the new features in .NET 2.0 are reason enough to upgrade (Like generics and all of the cool features added to existing classes like ADO.NET stuff.). Download a trial version. It will install alongside VS2003 without any issues and you'll be able to see for yourself. If your an ASP.NET developer I would def. make the move you'll find a world of change.

Yes, I should have mentioned that I use VS2003 Pro.
I also found that VS2003 Pro has serious problems with ASP.NET...
