Moving NAV corp group to new parent server

I have recently installed a new win2k3 DC. The original DC was the NAV parent server. The problem is that the NAV group wasn't transferred before removing the original DC. It has something to do with drag and drop the GRC.dat file on each host to the new parent server. But I don't know exactly what needs to be done. Does anyone have an answer?

Copying that file to each computer could be a pain, you can also just repush the install files, and reboot the computers.

In the Symantec Security center, goto tools, client remote install.

Choose the workstations and the new server.

Note you ned to have port 2967 open on the workstations. I did this by using a GPO that opened the port and applyed it to the OU and all workstations.

I have also noticed that 7.5 sometimes has problems being upgraded with client push.

I updated 110 computers this way, and only 5 7.5 computers did not work (neither grc dat copy or reinstall) I was forced to uninstall 7.5 reboot, and install 10

hope it helps

Sorry I took so long in replying,
Netman66 I have the CD but where is the editor?
Sorry I've also been so long - I'm actually on vacation right now.

On the Corporate CD (media for NAV Corp) there should be a tools folder with the GRC editor.  If you can't find it let me know and when I'm back home next week I can see exactly where it is for you.
