The Solution Rating System

  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Microsoft, XP Pro, SP2

Client has Sony Laptop. 1 Gig Ram very slow to boot. about 1 week ago system started to be very slow. I started task mgr and system is going between 80 and 77% and stays there. It does not happen in safe mode. Scanned for virus. Nada. Disabled all in startup and still a problem. So some service or drive causes now the system to stay at 80% CPU usage and system crawls. I ran SFC checker and did not help.
Ran chkdsk. Nada

System will not shut down without having to push power button.

Created a new profile (user) and same thing.
