The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Companyweb and other web items not loading.

This is a brand new server and clean install.  I can access http://ipaddress and get the server web page.

Trying...
http://companyweb
http://ipaddress/remote
WSUS Also did not work with the same error.
Gets me the following error...
The page cannot be found

HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Accessing http://servername/exchange works properly.

I looked at each web site config and did not find the default.aspx page on some of the sites so I tried to copy one there with no success.  I also tired a hotfix WindowsServer2003-KB936594-x86-ENU.exe

Finally I tried MS KB article 829114 and installed the MS KB 832880 update with no success.

Addingo some more information...

I tried to ping companyweb.  It is resolving to 10.1.1.12 when the server is on IP address 10.1.1.5 I checked the DNS server and deleted all entries to 10.1.1.12, flushed the dns cache and still have no success.
