I am thinking about buying a Juniper Netscreen SSG 5 firewall to upgrade my current firewall. &nbsp;The SSG 5 has the option of running Juniper-Kaspersky antivirus software in the firewall itself. &nbsp;How important/beneficial is this feature if all of my servers and PCs have AV software installed locally? &nbsp;I think it is a no brainer at $150 a year. &nbsp;The only downside that I can think of is performance. &nbsp;Does anyone know from first hand experience if running AV on a firewall causes a degradation in firewall performance?<br />

How Important is it to Have AV Built Into Firewall?

Anti-virus software was originally developed to detect and remove computer viruses.
