sony optiarc dvd/cd AD-7200A
I installed a Sony optiarc dvd/cd AD-7200A on my PC, and every time I reboot it asks to install drivers.It willl read CDs, it will play DVDs, but in device Manager it shows and !. Help

Have you tried this method? Right click my computer, manage, then device manager, then select your Sony Optiarc drive, then select uninstall, then reboot your computer and see if this fixes the problem.

It's not asking for -hardware- drivers [those are in Windows] it is asking for software drivers for some program [usually a burning program] that uses the drive.
Device manager is only showing you that the hardware driver is okay and working.

test the drive first on another pc - it may just be bad
try also another cable !

Tried all of your suggestions, but none of them worked. Now the DVD shows ok. in device manager, but the installation wizard runs everytime I reboot.
and can you read and write to it normally ?
does it do the same on another PC?

Yes it reads, writes, and plays dvds, I tested it in another PC, and it works fine.
