Netgear WNDR3300 wireless dual band N

How do turn this Netgear wireless dual band N into an access point? I want to use it to expand my main wireless router.

Hi,

This may be useful: (only the 3300n will be the repeater and your main wireless router will be the base station here)

Warm regards,

Is your Main Router a wireless one? if so what is the model of your main router? and to understand you, are you trying to expand the range of your wireless (meaning use both your your old one and the new netgear wireless at the same time)?

I have a newer model Netgear WNDR3700. I want to use the older model WNDR3300 to help with the wireless range or signal. I some devices too far away from the main router and the signal is very weak. So, yes that pretty much using both at the same time. How do I configure the second router so I can have it sits some where closer to my devices. Thank you,

I've done that and it worked but when I plugged my Iomega media player in the network port behind this WNDR3300 that I set up as access point and used it as a switch, I can not see it on my desktop, any idea why? I logged into my main router and I can see the ip address was being assigned but I can not see it my desktop. I used to see the drive when I was using the WNDR3300 as my main router. Do I need to set something else in the WNDR3300? By the way I can see it and access it on my laptop but I can't see it or access on my desktop, please help. Thanks,
at this moment that has nothing to do with the wireless access point, but has to do with your desktop and your Iomega. but one thing you could do... Try to ping the iomega from your desktop, and see if there is a communication. I'm not sure what that Iomega is and how it acts on the network.  I have to do some research on it.
