Access/Excel/WORD - many thanks

Hi,

I am not sure how to post a gratitude message like this, but I want to thank everyone who assisted me during my first year on Experts Exchange. It was also my first year at my job, so there was an intense learning curve, and I was not taking a break at all from my desk. All of you helped immensely during this time.

All of you were invaluable my first year, and I want to start the New Year by offering a warm 'Thank you.'

My apologies in advance if this is not appropriate EE forum material, but I did not have any other way of thanking people who really deserved it.

Wishing all of you the best for 2010.

The people here deserve it. There were many days when I turned to all of you, and it was truly a cmofort knowing that all of you were there.

Modus, the zone indicates Excel.

Can we please change this to Acces and Excel, since I asked a lot of Access questions.

Mbizup, I will...but in all honesty, want to ensure that I have the knowledgebase to do so - since I want to be certain I am offering sound responses. I do believe in returning assistance as well.

Though I have a solid foundation of dealing and working with data, data always has so many intracacies and Experts here really helped with data specifics.

I will not be going anywhere, so perhaps in the future. A potential goal I can keep for this year.

I too was in a very similar situation to yours. I was doing a job that was highly paper based and took a full-time person or two each month to complete the required reports. Now I can complete this electronically, with much greater detail and reach across the entire organization, doing so in about 20 hours a week (so half to even as much as 4 times, less man hours). I knew it was possible from the beginning, but I didn't know how to get there.

The help I have received from EE is outstanding. At times some people may have thought I was asking questions of "can you do my work for me", but in reality, I wanted to know how it would work in a real life situation and then how I could build on that.

Over the last few years I have gone from coming to EE with every little question I had, to actually giving back and answering questions. It is nice to know that others value this resource and the exchange of ideas as much as I do!
