Which ebook reader?
I'm going to buy an ebook reader. The Kindle is probably not an option, because I live in Europe and don't want a subscription. I just want the device. What I would like is the following:
* Small: 5" or 6"
* Solid
* Preferably no touch screen
* Preferably Wifi
* Preferably SDcard
I like the Sony PRS 300. It's small, cheap enough, the reviews are positive, but no wifi and no memory cards.
1) What alternatives are there, for a reasonable price?
2) I have a macbook. How well is the software to upload books to the device?
3) I heard that some devices have problems with arranging many books in folders, making it difficult to find books. Is this true, and if so for what device?
4) Are there any other things that are important that I should know of when buying an ereader?

Oh, the Kindle is also the most popular ebook out there, so it is really well supported, and if you have any problems with it, it will be really easy to get them resolved.
And Amazon does ship ebooks to Europe.

I've bought a Sony PRS300. I know it has its limitations, but still it was one of my favorites. I've used it for several days now, and I really love it. It really adds to the joy of reading. I would probably love the Kindle too - it's more the screen and the fact that I can keep so many books with me.
I can try it for two weeks, but I think I won't return it.

Glad you like it. My client's son figured it out so she kept it for him.

Today it crashed for the second time. I had to reset it, and all data was lost. My books are back after syncing, but the bookmarks are gone for the second time, and that is quite a disappointment. The Library Reader software does not function well on my mac. It's buggy, slow, not reliable nor user friendly in my opinion. The reader itself is fine and I've used it a lot already.
