Make sure you dont have it in any of these locations:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit

And your startup folder: start, progams, startup

I would not recommend doing this... You will not have a start bar, desktop icons, and will not be able to do a majority of other tasks. Why would want to do this? This is more damaging then helpful. Your other question posted was questionable as well. There should be no reason for you to even want to do this. Unless you have a replacement for explorer to take over it's massive amount of critical tasks.

This is being done on a thin client that will become a dumb terminal.  We dont want the user to be able to access anything on them.
Have you tried doing what they suggested above?
