The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Disappearing .jpg in Outlook signature.

Asked by TBGPartners in Email Clients, Email Software, Exchange Email Server

Tags: , ,

I have Outlook 2003 on XP machine used in conjuntion with Exchange 2003 server.  We have 100+ users with identicle setup.  We have a signature with a .jpg of our logo.  This issue used to only happen on my machine, but now one other user is having the issue.  When you bring open a new email (to compose), the signature pops in correctly.  You can then type the subject and the content and add a recipeint, but when you click on send and the spell check comes up, the .jpg of our logo disappears?  Or, if I keep a new email open for more than a few minutes (composing new mail) eventually the .jpg will disappear in it?  The recipient seems to be getting the .jpg, but if you open up any sent emails, even from before the issue started happening, they are gone.  Also, any incoming emails from local users do not come in with the .jpg, just the placeholder?

So far just two machines have had this issue.  I'm thinking it may be a service pack?  I've moved the .jpg from the signature folder to winnt and that didn't help?  I can't find anything in Symantec Corp Ed, that has changed or indicates a possible issue here.  We do not use word to edit sigs.
