The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Inaccessible files in my d:drive

Hi I have a serious problem to be solved.  Some important digital pictures (JPEG) were stored in my desktop folder.  Suddenly, something happened to my Windows-XP machine. It started running terribly slow meaning, i have to wait for at least 5 mins to get a click of mouse accepted.  I have decided to move the desktop folder files (about 170) to my other disk d: and then using the SONY VAIO system recovery disk I brought back the system to the original version.  Everything worked perfectly after I reinstall all my software and applications.  But those 170 files could not be accessed as it says those files are protected.  I did not setup any security while I copied from my digital camera to the SONY VAIO machine.  How can I recover those important files as they are in demand from my folks...Start Free Trial
