any other solution other than truecrypt ? I am looking for something like FolderLock type of solution....as you mentioned, truecrypt is not that suitable in this case..thx

you can mount truecrypt volumes from a nas, but you have to be careful they are only mounted by one person at a time. really though, you need to decide on a few things, and the main one is the attack model - what sorts of compromise do you wish to protect against, and how inconvenient are you willing to have access be for authorized users?
