Browse All TopicsWe have two applications trying to digitally sign a document using a smart card. Both are written in C#. Both retrieve params from the card's private key, and use them to create an RSACryptoServiceProvider object to sign.
The problem is that one of them retrieves the private key params using CAPICOM, and the other uses X509. The one using X509 freezes when trying to access the private key information, and CAPICOM does not. We need to find out why.
Does anyone know a way to monitor what exactly happens between the .NET application and the smart card? e.g. What API exactly does .NET call, what parameters it passes, and what exactly the smart card does?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
