Snort: Getting Started

Zone: Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
Tags: snort, 2.8.2.1, Winpcap  4.0.2
Hi, I am new to snort and have installed snort 2.8..2.1 and winpcap 4.0.2 .  I have then attempt to run doing the following.


I have gone to the command line and typed

snort -v
(let run for alittle)

when I hit control c, it shows not packets snorted.  Any idea?
