Determining an attack on a PIX 515.

Asked by eggster34 in Cisco PIX Firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)

Hi, I have a PIX 515 failover cluster protecting 4 internal networks all hosting different servers.
Recently one of my web servers began losing communications with my SQL server (they are on different subnets) I am suspecting an outside DoS type attack but I'm not sure. Is there any chance I can have the PIX act as an IDS or some kind of attack analyzer so that I can determine if someone is actually trying to brute force their way into my system or not?Start Free Trial
