Using the same password for two different usernames is not a problem at all.
When an account is locked, it's only for a certain period of time (may be an hr) but
not forever. Don't worry.

yahoo messeger login problem
hey i 'm having the similiar problem as surfingJ .... i was bz changing yahoo ids into different groups in my friend list and all the sudden i was disconnected and could never login although i do use the right password and id. So i have been tryng to log on till a message appear stating that my account has been locked for some security reasons.Does this mean that i will be barred forever ? However the same problem of login in yahoo messenger happens to another yahoo id of mine which i was currently using. Is it possible this problem occur due to the fact i'm using the same password for two different ids?pls reply.Is there anyhow i can obtain back those ids as they are very essential communication to me in everyday

U cant recover forgotten IDs.
No problem with diff ids have the same password.
Clik on no network detection in the preference of the messenger.
yahoo never locks anyone's account for security issue unless some1 does something offensive and against the law of yahoo.

Could be but i am not sure about using the same password for 2 diffrent user names. Did you wait for a bit before retrying to get in?. If not then give it a try in about 1 hour also like i suggested to surfing if you continue to have trouble reload and change the password but keep your same user name if that is something you dont want to try use the help link i included in that question also let me know what you find and if you need more.
