my pc is infected with this virus and some other viruses i believe, my cd burner wont work, i cannot connect to the internet and it says modem is not connected or DUN is not set up or something like that and it all happen in just a weeks time... i thied installing anti viruses but i think the virus is preventing its installation... i think an updated or strong antivirus which i can run through a floppy or a cd that would clean the hard drive might solve it... help me...

if don't succeed, burn a CD with a ready to use antivirus and scan your hdd.
Just to complete what Kronostm said, maybe you could try the Norton removal tool for your Virus. (But I don't remember if it works withou Norton Antivirus) Just make a boot disk with the tool on it and It will scan and remove your virus (I will say It suppose to work because I just use this kind of removal tool one time -for bugbear- and the computer has Norton Antivirus)
It cost nothing to try :)

Hi!
Famous viruses have tackling tricks for famous antiviruses. If your PC is infected with a virus then most like it will oppose the installation of both Norton and Mcafee residing in your memory. Solution is simply install a less famous but effective AntiVirus. I am giving you this advice because this is what I did when my PC got infected and both Norton and Mcafee failed.
You do this:
Go to http://www.download.com and search for protector plus (I downloaded one more from there but forgot its name). I really liked this product its simple and effective.
