The Solution Rating System

  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Dos Attacks

hi,

I am running MS IIS and Apache (on two different ports) for personal usage. Recently my servers frequently ran down. I heard it is possibly caused by DoS attacks. Could anyone tell me what that is and how I can find out what exactly caused the problem? Is there really some DoS attack programs around for people to download?

My box is P4 2G/500M memory, WinXP Pro, with MS IIS on port 8080 and Apache on port 80. I don't have a fire wall.Start Free Trial
