preventing Wireless connections within a corporate network

I was thinking about the security weaknesses of our highly secured network. Our network is protected by Checkpoint firewalls. Besides that, we have set up several vlan's and a DMZ. Pretty secure.

But because I am very much playing with wireless networks, and sometimes war driving for fun, I realized that the current availability and support of wlan equipment is a serious security threat. Every user is able to plug in a wlan card in Windows XP. Windows XP supports several wlan cards; because of this a user doesn't have to be administrator to install the wlan card.
Of course I could prevent this using Group Policies in Active Directory. But everyone who is inside our building is able to place a device, a laptop, or a pocket pc with Ethernet and wlan support, to breach our security, bypassing our firewalls. (Another option I came up with is to plug in a wlan card and boot a pc with knoppix, the mac address and the pc are "thrusted".)

In highly secure environments this is a huge security threat. What do you guys think about this?
Should is equip the 24/7 surveillance personnel with a pocket pc and instruct them how to use netstumbler?
Or should I buy a device which is able to knock down every wlan by broadcasting bull**** over all 14 channels?
