Browse All TopicsHi,
I'm trying to demonstrate to a work colleague how Session Hijacking can be performed on one of our web applications.
I use NetMon.exe to monitor traffic from his machine to the web server to retrieve the SessionID (we are using ASP/IIS).
The session ID is stored in a session cookie (in memory within Internet Explorer).
How do I, therefore, replace the session ID stored in the session cookie on my machine with the one I have captured from his machine? (Is there a tool to do this?)
How would one mitigate this venerability (without using HTTPS), for example, is it possible to generate a new session ID every time IIS receives a request?
Thanks.
