Question

Need help, possible hacker

Okay, I downloaded MsnPlus, expecting the usually extra crap they give you for sponsors or sumthing.  Anyways, I deleted it all and I used Hijack This to get rid of the homepage changer and Favourites Adder.  Now my firewall is asking for me to give permission for something that looks like a globe with a cloud swirling around it, I dont allow.

Now I have a searchbar, if I get rid of this thru Regedit, should I be safe, or what?

Also, the globe's name changes and it's usually a bunch of random numbers and letters.

Something else you can try is Fport from Foundstone.
http://www.foundstone.com/resources/proddesc/fport.htm
It will tell you what ports each application is opening and using. Nice thing to have.

Now, as for this bar, HijackThis should have given you the ability to remove it. Go to this page and read the tutorial on HijackThis:

well, Uh, I searched for something and went thru the search page's help page, and it turns out they offer an uninstaller, Ill do a Spyware scan tonight.
