From IE go to Tools, Internet Options,Security, Select Internet then hit Custom Level. In here look for "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
set to Enable.

I am running windows 98SE, when I try to access some web pages an error message comes up saying "my current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page". Where do I go to fix this? And how do I do it step by step?

In IE, go to Tools - Internet Options _ Security. Select "Internet' and click the "Default Level" button, then the "OK" button
