The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. algg.exe process

I'm running WinXP SP1 and a new process showed up in my task manager.  It is called "algg.exe".  The file is in Windows\system32.  It is run in the registry at this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\alg - REG_SZ - algg.exe.

As soon as I connect to the Internet, algg.exe tries to contact the DNS according to ZoneAlarm.

I'm not sure when it showed up, I installed WinXP a few days ago and I had to install a bunch of softwares since then.

Does anybody knows what algg.exe is?  Spyware?  Spybot doesn't see it as spyware.  NAV 2004 doesn't see it as a virus...  I tried to serach for it on Google, 0 hit.
